Barons English is
Barons English was established in 2014 in Hammersmith District, London, UK near Barons Court station to help students who want to learn native British English and caters especially for business men/women and students.
To provide high-quality British English, we only employ British teachers who speak English as their first language and live in the UK. It is their job to deliver dynamic, interesting and motivating lessons which focus on high quality language and expressions that are currently spoken in the UK. To enhance understanding, all teachers must have a neutral sounding accent taking into account the importance of English as a Global language.
In consideration of the needs of international students, we provide courses for business men/women, test takers (IELTS, Cambridge, TOEFL, TOEIC etc), general people and children.
Based on the internet and online education environment, we provide flexible and user friendly lessons with one to one teaching to maximize studying efficiency. Every lesson is 25 or 50 minutes in length and students can choose the teachers and lesson schedules that are most convenient for them.
Why is it important to learn British English from a native speaker?
When weighing up the cost of lessons, it is true that non-native speaker teachers provide low-cost English courses however it is important to realize that their language capability (and therefore the type of language that they can teach) is vastly different from that of a native English speaker.
We believe that when you are learning a language, in order to gain a high fluency in that language, it is always better to learn from a native speaking teacher.
When considering other types of native speakers, it is clear that British English is often easier to understand and is spoken much slower than the English spoken in other countries.
Therefore there are clear benefits to learning British English as opposed to other kinds of English; most importantly we believe that teaching British English helps students to learn more easily and to become more accurate and fluent communicators.
Why one to one lessons?
Even though students are studying with (we believe) the best teachers, it's important for them to maximize their opportunities for speaking in order to become accustomed to speaking with ease and fluency.
Hence, one to one lessons promote confident, comfortable and fluent communication.
In a one to one lesson environment, students can learn not only English but also the etiquette and cultural understanding of the language, helping them to acquire a level of English much closer to that of a native speaker.

In a perfect world, the best way to learn English would be to live and work in countries where English is spoken as a first language, leading to the acquisition of very natural and fluent language.
